Pet Spaying and Neutering
Pet spaying or neutering is a common veterinary surgery offered at Cypress Creek Pet Care. Our experienced veterinary team utilizes the latest surgical techniques and protocols to ensure your pet receives high-quality care.
We recommend female puppies and kittens should be spayed to prevent pregnancy. This also maximizes the additional health benefits your pet receives from the procedure such as a decreased chance of contacting breast cancer and uterine infections.
We recommend male puppies and kittens be neutered. There are many benefits to neutering for your male pet including:
- Preventing unwanted pregnancies
- Reducing unwanted behaviors (such as male-directed aggression in dogs or urine spraying in cats)
- Testicular cancer
Radiography and ultrasound are valuable diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine. As we continually strive to offer the highest quality medicine and diagnostic testing, we are pleased to offer digital radiology services as a means of providing excellent care to our patients.
A radiograph, or X-ray, is a type of diagnostic imaging, which allows us to view the internal bones and organs of your pet. Many pet diseases alter the size, shape, or position of internal organs, and radiographs are a vital diagnostic tool in the identification of conditions such as:
- Broken bones
- Bladder stones
- Foreign bodies
- Chronic arthritis
Ultrasonography allows the internal organs of your pet to be examined. It can also identify abnormalities in organ function because it shows movement.
Ultrasound can be used to detect and diagnose:
- Lung blockages
- Blood flow and heart issues
- Bladder, kidney, liver, and spleen issues
Radiography and ultrasound are safe, painless, and completely noninvasive. Due to the low level of radiation exposure needed, even pregnant females and very young pets can be imaged.
