Dr. Raymond Bouloy, DVM, D.A.B.V.P.
Dr. Bouloy is a Colorado native and grew up in New Mexico. He attended Colorado State University and graduated, with honors, from veterinary school in 1987. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice (one of only 300 members in the U.S.), a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association and he has published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association
Dr. Bouloy is married and has two boys. He has four dogs: Rosie, Mushu, Teddy, and Kody; and one corn snake, Bowser. Dr. Bouloy loves the Texas Hill Country and enjoys living in Austin, Texas. He enjoys antique cars and spending time with his family when he is not at work.
Dr. Susan Hopper, DVM, Director of Operations
Member, American Association of Feline Practitioners
Dr. Hopper has lived in the central Texas area for over thirty years. After graduating from Georgetown High School, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A & M. She worked in South Texas briefly before returning to Georgetown where she owned a mixed animal practice for ten years. She joined the former Griffith Animal Hospital team in 2007. In March 2012, she happily accepted the offer to work alongside the doctors and staff of Hiway 620 Animal Hospital as both clinics merged to become the current Cypress Creek Pet Care. More recently she has developed a strong interest in feline friendly medicine and is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She is currently headlining our hospital's commitment to cats so that all cats can have the best experience possible here at CCPC. Her menagerie includes her horses, My Heart and Badger; her dogs Ford, Yoplait and Snitch; and her cats Diva and Velcro. She’s partial to anything four legged & furry! She loves horseback riding, hiking, reading and tending her garden.
Dr. Laurie Kim, DVM
Dr. Kim received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Colorado State University. Her professional interests include small animal medicine and surgery, as well as Complementary and Alternative Medicine, such as acupuncture. She believes integrating Western and Eastern Medicine provides more tools for healing patients. Dr. Kim has been living in the Austin area since 2006.
Dr. Kelly Schubert, DVM
Dr. Schubert grew up in Wisconsin where she obtained her BA in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She moved to Austin in 1993. Later, she attended Texas A&M University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2003. She and her husband share their home with their son and their eight furry children: Jens a boxer mix, Badger and Olive who are both Boston terriers, and five cats, Monkee, JeJune Bug, Maggoty Dave, Milty, and Chubbers. When she is not working Dr. Schubert enjoys outdoor activities with her son and the dogs, cycling, reading, and exploring new places.
Ashley is a native Texan from Austin where she still lives. She joined our team in July 2014 after working at various other animal hospitals in the area. Ashley has a special interest in feline and geriatric patients and has two senior animals of her own, her Maine Coon mix Cassius and chihuahua mix named Gizmo. When not at work Ashley enjoys reading, writing, and playing video games.
Char grew up in San Francisco, California where she found her passion for animals by volunteering at local veterinary hospitals. Before moving to Austin, she graduated from San Diego University with her BA in Psychology while working as a veterinary assistant. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2005, shortly before joining our team in 2006. She has since become our lead veterinary technician and a core part of our management. Char is happily married, has an adorable son and a beautiful stepdaughter. They share their home with one pug named Emma Jean, a Labrador by the name of Hudson, and a munchkin cat named Kiki. When she is not working, you can find Char spending quality time with her family or dancing in her living room.
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Craig is a native Texan from Big Springs. He moved to the Austin area due to a job opportunity for his wife and became part of our family in May 2014. Before joining Cypress Creek Pet Care, Craig had 25 years experience working in the Federal Bureau of Prisons and had also enjoyed a small amount of time being retired. Craig has always loved animals of all kinds and currently houses two golden retrievers, Molly and Bentley. Outside of work Craig has a big interest in weight lifting and keeping fit in the outdoors.
Pet Care Stylist
Dee Ann has been a core part of our family since July 2013 as our well loved groomer. Originally from North California and now living in Round Rock, Dee Ann has over 20 years of experience in the pet care world and spent six years doing rewarding work at an animal shelter prior to joining our team. Dee Ann has had experience being a veterinary technician, dog trainer, and kennel manager but currently finds her place in canine and feline grooming. Her favorite animals are shelter animals and she has quite a few of her own, too: Mila a German shepherd mix, WeeMann a small breed cute mix, Wookie a corgi, Duchess a poodle, Spencer a poodle, and Tiger the African grey parrot. When she's not working Dee Ann enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Lizzy joined our team at Cypress Creek Pet Care in August 2015. A native Texan, she has lived in Austin her whole life and currently resides in Lakeway. Lizzy has always had a passion for animals and has volunteered at the Austin Humane Society and local clinics. She has also worked for Banfield before attending college at Stephen F Austin State University. Currently, she is enrolled in Penn Foster's Veterinary Technician program and has two loving pets of her own, a border collie named Daisy and a tuxedo kitty by the name of Mayflower. When not at work Lizzy enjoys anime, crafting, reading, and going to festivals.
Ellen is a rare native Austinite who now calls Cedar Park her home. Before becoming part of our family in September 2005, she previously worked in the hotel business. Ellen earned her veterinary technician certification after completing the course at Austin Community College. Ellen shares her home with her husband, daughter, two dogs Kaiya and Trixie, and two cats Sebastian and Nomad. Ellen has also done a lot of fostering in the past and occasionally still has a foster dog with her. When she's not at work Ellen enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
Elysse has been with us since right after the merge in August 2012. She is originally from Austin and currently still lives in northwest Austin. Elysse first started with us as part of our animal caretaker team where she was lead for a time, and she has now been a technician since May 2014. Elysse has her associates from Penn Foster with a veterinary technician degree. Currently, she has two dogs, a chiweenie named Maggie, a shepherd mix named Zorro, and three cats, Leo, Luna, and Daenerys, all are rescues. When Elysse is not at work she enjoys hiking, many other outdoor activities, and loves living in the Austin area.
Client Care Representative
Heather has been a member of our team since November 2015. Originally from Joshua, Texas, Heather moved to the Austin area to branch out after graduating from UTA in International business and Spanish, and currently lives in the Wells Branch area. Heather previously worked as a substitute teacher and a barista, but also worked at a veterinary clinic for a year prior to finding her home with us. Heather shares her home with her favorite animals: dogs Cricket, Sukie, and Daryl; and fish Yoko, Hatchet, and Dexter. When not at work, Heather enjoys playing and listening to music and spending time with her family.
Pet Stylist Assistant
Jason has been with our team since November 2012. A Minnesota transplant, he moved to Round Rock in 2006 for more affordable housing. Prior to being part of our team, Jason worked in the pest control business, retail, and for adoptions through Williamson County Animal Shelter. Jason has had several positions as part of our team and is currently helping in our grooming department. Jason has four dogs - Mila, Wee Mann, Duchess, and Wookie, a cat named Chester, and an African grey parrot by the name of Tiger. Jason enjoys gardening, antiques, and classic cars when not at work.
Kalee has been a member of our team since back before the merge, joining Griffith Small Animal Hospital in May 2010. Kalee is another native Texan and moved here with her parents from Palestine for the job opportunities. She currently lives in north Austin and before starting in veterinary medicine she worked in food. Kalee has several certificates for veterinary assistant training and a Veterinary Assistant Career Diploma. Her own animals include a Catahoula named Kase and a blue pit bull named Diamond. When she's not at work, Kalee enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and watching movies with her husband.
Lesley was born in Staten Island, New York, and has lived in many different places since, including several states and Italy. Lesley has called Round Rock her home since moving here in 2006. While living in Pennsylvania, Lesley obtained her associates degree from Penn State in agricultural business. She first came to work with us as our full time groomer in 2010. She's made a couple changes since then, working in our reception department and then becoming a tech assistant before she became part of our current technician team.
Lesley has a warm and loving touch when it comes to animals and they appear calm in her presence, giving her a very loyal customer base as a groomer and the experience to both groom and tech exceptionally. Lesley shares her home with her father, her daughter born on Christmas day 2013, and all of her pets: a cat named Robbie, three dogs Loki, Cammy, and Kaycee; and a snake simply called Snake.
When she is not at work she can be found with her dogs enjoying the sport of agility or volunteering at Healing with Horses Ranch, a therapeutic riding center.
Whitney is one happy animal lover! She is a native Texan, born and raised right here in Cedar Park. Before working at our hospital, Whitney was a preschool teacher for four years, but she knew that her real passion was working with animals. Whitney has a kind soul and is an excellent pet owner. She and her husband have three Labradors - Butch, Iya, and Chief - and welcomed their own human child into the family in July 2015. When she's not working, Whitney enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family. If you see her you are sure to get a smile!
I am new to Cedar Park and needed to find a new vet for my pets, one of whom has special needs. As soon as I took the tour, I was hooked. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and the cleanest vet clinic I've been in. -Chelaine
